Philippine Festival 2003 Art Exhibit - "Brown Strokes on a White Canvas" - June 1st- 30th

A tasteful art exhibit of diverse works by renowned Filipino artists presenting a kaleidoscopic view of the Philippine American Experience.

Filipino American Youth Dialogue - Saturday, June 14th

"Living Documents: Our Stories" - Know Your History, Know Yourself.   Through oral history, middle and high school students learn more about the community and develop a deeper understanding of their own personal, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Philippine Festival 2003 Fair and Parade - Sunday, June 15th

An ethnic street festival showcases some of the very best in Filipino culture.  The fair features exotic cuisine, native handicrafts, art exhibits and a free entertainment program of traditional folk music and dances.  The parade displays colorful costumes and cultural vignettes amidst music and fanfare.  Thousands of people from all over, participate in and enjoy this all day event held on the most famous avenue in the Nation's Capital.

Philippine Festival 2003 Raffle - Grand prize is a round-trip ticket to the Philippines from the U.S., donated by Philippine Airlines. The drawing for this as well as other valuable prizes will be made at the June 29th community picnic (below). You may purchase tickets anytime from now until the actual drawing time. You do not have to be present to win.

Philippine Festival 2003 Gala Ball - Saturday, June 21st

A traditional elegant evening attended by members of the community and special guests from the diplomatic corps, federal, state and local governments, as well as from the private sector.  This formal event raises funds for charity and PAFC's educational and cultural projects.  Confirmed reservations are required (National Dress/Barong or Black Tie please).

Multi-talented female, dance pop singer and actress, Geneva Mendoza Cruz of Manila, Philippines, recently released her fourth solo album and will come to D.C., just for this one special performance.

Philippine Festival 2003 Community Picnic and Sports Festival - Sunday, June 29th

Family, friends and community supporters celebrate at this potluck picnic all day.  Open to the general public.  Filipino food and drink available for purchase.  Some tournament events will be held at athletic facilities next door.

Philippine Festival 2003 was organized and produced by the Philippine Festival Committee (PFC).
